ROCK VALLEY—Two people were arrested Sunday, June 28, in Rock Valley on a charge of fourth-degree theft.
The arrest of 63-year-old Shawna Rae Sanchez of Rock Valley and 36-year-old Zakaria George Oroma Simon of Des Moines stemmed a child seeing Oroma Simon grab a Ninebot electric scooter from the parking area of Winterfeld Boating and Fishing Area in Rock Valley about 5:15 p.m. Friday, June 26, according to the Rock Valley Police Department.
