City of Reno’s Fourth of July parade expected to have $15,000 shortfall

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The City of Reno’s Fourth of July parade is expected to have a budget shortfall of around $15,000.

In a memo to the Reno City Council and Mayor Schieve, the Department of Parks and Recreation says that as of Friday, there are 74 parade entries, short of the city’s goal of 80.

They say the updated cost expectations to produce the parade are $50,000, not including staff planning time…
