Two women seriously hurt in Ottawa County head-on crash, other driver crossed center line

BLENDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two people were seriously hurt after the pickup truck they were in was hit head-on by an SUV Monday afternoon in Blendon Township, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver of the SUV, a 41-year-old Greenwood, Indiana man, was going south on 72nd Avenue near Bauer Road just before 5:40 p.m. when he crossed the center line and crashed into the pickup truck, deputies said.

The driver of the pickup, a 29-year-old Hudsonville woman, and the passenger, a 39-year-old Comstock Park woman, were both taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The Indiana man was not hurt, authorities said…
