A portion of Highway 3 near Gorst has reopened following a 16-day closure that affected traffic to and from Belfair. The closure near Sunnyslope Road was part of a construction project intended to improve fish migration by removing and replacing a concrete culvert.
Although the highway is now open to traffic, drivers can still expect to see some interruptions, like single-lane closures at night and the transportation of construction equipment to and from the work site.
