AKRON, Ohio – The city of Akron and Cuyahoga River Water Trail partners on Tuesday announced a new online safety tool for river recreation.
The Cuyahoga River Conditions Tool (CUYAC) offers real-time river conditions reports for paddlers from locations along the river. The city of Akron developed the tool and has funded initial tool signage, according to a news release.
The tool was created to help paddlers better understand river conditions, which can vary widely due to rainfall and temperature.
