New park planned for Seymour as future of Bowers Field remains uncertain

SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — A brand-new park could soon fill a need in the Seymour Community as the future of a nearby Knox County Park remains in question.

A new recreational park is in the works for the Seymour/west Sevier County area. County leaders estimate the project will cost around $7 million. The park could include ball fields for multiple sports, pickleball courts, walking trails, and a picnic pavilion.
