UK Board of Trustees approves $9.6 billion budget, changes dean appointment policy

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – The University of Kentucky Board of Trustees approved a $9.6 billion budget, an increase of nearly $1 billion, according to the Lexington Herald Leader.

The budget includes more than $190 million for scholarships and financial aid, as well as a 3% salary increase for eligible employees.

According to the Herald Leader, the budget allocates approximately:

  • $6 billion for UK Healthcare
  • $3.3 billion for higher education
  • More than $219 million for athletics
