It has been more than a decade since Welltown Brewing owner Jeremy Diamond first walked into the building at 114 W. Archer St. The space itself has a storied past, having lived multiple past lives as a bar called Dead Town Tavern, a tattoo shop, an auto repair garage and a residence. During Welltown’s renovation process, workers even discovered bullets embedded in the walls.
“We officially opened on June 22, 2018,” Diamond says. “It’s kind of crazy to think we’re coming up on eight years.”
