(FOX40.COM) — Two-dozen drivers were arrested on Friday during a single-day anti-drunk-driving operation in Stanislaus County, the California Highway Patrol said — and now the agency says it is setting up a DUI checkpoint at another Central Valley location.
On June 26, CHP Central Division officers conducted what it calls a Rapid Arrest of Intoxicated Drivers (RAID) operation in Stanislaus County, which targets impaired drivers through increased patrols and high-visibility enforcement. The agency — working alongside Modesto police, Ceres police and Stanislaus County sheriff’s deputies — arrested 24 people for DUI, officials said.
