HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – As of July 1, Christian County officially transitioned to their new trash service provider, Impact Waste. In order to assist with a possible lapse in service coinciding with the change and the holiday weekend, the county is also providing free disposal sites.
This change in provider, initiated and approved by the Christian County Fiscal Court, required that residents outside of the city limits of Hopkinsville, Crofton, Pembroke and Oak Grove register with this new company in order to receive services. This transition is separate from the recent franchise agreement Impact has with the City of Oak Grove.
GFL, the previous provider for the county, will be utilizing a third-party provider to remove empty containers from residences. These bins should be left at the end of the driveway until they are picked up, according to a statement from the fiscal court…
