Good News, USI Drivers: A Key Lloyd Expressway Ramp Is Finally Back Open
If you drive to and from the University of Southern Indiana, there’s some good news that should make your commute a little easier.
The ramp connecting campus to the eastbound Lloyd Expressway is officially back open, which is a pretty big win for students, staff, and anyone who travels through that part of town regularly.
The update was shared with the USI community this week, and it also comes with another big milestone: project officials say the reopening marks the end of all University Parkway closures tied to the Lloyd4U project.
So yes after months of construction headaches, detours, and lane changes, that stretch around campus should finally feel a little more normal again.
That said, drivers do need to be a little careful when using the newly reopened ramp. USI says the temporary crossover that connects the exit ramp to eastbound traffic is steeper than it was before, so drivers are being asked to slow down and use caution when exiting campus…
