Man accused of murdering wife in Sarpy County last week appears in court

PAPILLION, Neb. (WOWT) – A Papillion man charged with murdering his wife made his first court appearance Thursday morning.

Cameron Skayman, 35, was formally charged with first-degree murder, first-degree assault, terroristic threats, child abuse, and use of a firearm. No bond was allowed, so he is now in custody at the Sarpy County Jail and due back in court Aug. 21.

Skayman’s initial court appearance was delayed as had been hospitalized from June 22 — when his wife was shot and killed — until Tuesday…
