SALT LAKE CITY, UT (Good Things Utah) — Surae received the news that her dad passed away yesterday on July 1, 2026. She had just flown home over the weekend to say her goodbyes. She says that was a gift to be able to say ‘I love you and that he was the best dad.’ Her dad started receiving hospice care on Saturday and died four days later. Surae says she is doing okay and is at peace.
Surae knows not everyone gets that chance to say goodbye. She returned to work to be with her TV family. She says that’s what she knows and her dad would want her to continue living. Surae says she has comfort and feels at peace largely because she was able to say good bye. She urges others to not hold back and say or write what’s on your heart for the people who impacted you the most.
