COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – The Development Authority of Columbus has been awarded a $2 million rural development grant for site improvement work at Technology Park, city officials said.
The funding will be used to clear land at the park, located off Chattsworth, so businesses can move in without the delays typically associated with site preparation.
‘Shovel-ready’ sites key to competitiveness
Michelle Phillips, vice president of operations for Choose Columbus, said the grant addresses a barrier that can deter companies from selecting Columbus as a location.
