A vacant lot near 51st Avenue and Union Hills Drive in Deer Valley could soon become a 29-home attached single-family community — and city planners are recommending approval.
The developer, Bill Emch of EMCH Enterprises, LLC, is asking the city to rezone roughly 4.63 acres — sitting about 425 feet east of the 51st Avenue and Union Hills Drive corner — from single-family to multi-family. The Deer Valley Village Planning Committee takes up the request on July 6, followed by a Planning Commission hearing on August 6.
The site is flanked by single-family homes to the north along Union Hills Drive and to the south across Bluefield Avenue, with a childcare facility and retail center to the west and a religious facility to the east…
