Fourth of July weekend on area lakes bring unexpected hazards

SOUTH HOLSTON LAKE, Tenn. (WCYB) — With lake levels in our region being well below normal, officials are urging boaters to stay extra safe while on the water this holiday weekend.

Normally, Watauga Lake will be at summer pool, South Holston will sometimes be a little low, but it’s usually not this low, said Ripley.
