Pinnacle residents with disabilities return home after elevator broke

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — After a brutal night and morning in the heat, all residents at Pinnacle Apartments were able to return home after an elevator broke.

One of the elevators broke down at the apartment during the heat wave, which left tenants with disabilities and mobility issues with no easy way to get to their apartments.

“I need to be in my wheelchair, and I can’t do it because the two elevators are broke; they’re always broke,” said resident Vearnetta Whitley. “They need to do something because I can’t breathe right now.”…
