COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating three central Ohio men accused of racking up over $340,000 in fraudulent credit card charges.
A complaint alleges that in May the Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission met with Synchrony Bank’s special investigations team about a case of suspected account takeover fraud that affected people in the Columbus area.
The reported fraud included people who changed the addresses of existing Synchrony Bank accounts to one of three Columbus area addresses. Replacement cards were then requested and shipped to those locations. Watch latest headlines from NBC4 in the video player above.…
