Woman charged with animal neglect after leaving dog in hot car on Evansville’s west side

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Authorities say an Evansville woman is now under arrest on animal neglect charges after a recent incident at the west side Walmart on Red Bank Road.

EPD and the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office investigated this incident just after 3:30 p.m. Friday. This was in reference to a dog being locked in a vehicle for over an hour without any air conditioning or water.

When authorities arrived on scene, the offender, 39-year-old Micky Page of Evansville was outside the car attempting to leave. A deputy saw a water bowl inside the vehicle, but it was empty and there was no other water source…
