A native of Bolton, Ed proudly served as an infantryman in the U.S. Army during World War Il. During his service, he was captured and held as a prisoner of war, enduring unimaginable hardships with extraordinary courage and resilience.
For his heroic service, Ed was awarded the Silver Star Medal, the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster — signifying he was wounded in action twice — the European-African-Middle-Eastern Campaign Medal with three Bronze Stars, and the World War II Victory Medal…
