Sheriff’s Athletic League launching in Columbus to give kids more to do, build connections with deputies

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – Teens in Columbus say there isn’t much to do after school or on weekends — and some are hoping a new youth sports initiative from the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office can change that.

The Sheriff’s Office is launching the Sheriff’s Athletic League, a community outreach program built around sports and games designed to give kids positive activities while strengthening relationships between young people and deputies.
