Charges changed for suspect in North Omaha homicide investigation

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A man made an appearance in court Monday in connection with a deadly shooting in North Omaha in May.

Denzel Gaines, 33, was facing charges including second-degree murder, use of a firearm to commit a felony, possession of a firearm, and terroristic threats.

On Monday, the charge of 2nd-degree murder was reduced to manslaughter.
