PennDOT continues roadwork as summer rolls on

From resurfacing highways to repairing bridges, construction crews are taking advantage of the warmer weather to complete work before winter returns.

While that can mean slower commutes and changing traffic patterns, PennDOT says these projects are critical to maintaining safe roadways.

“Route 20 in the city of Erie and Harborcreek Township, we’ll be paving approximately 5 miles starting this month from Chestnut Street to Cumberland Road,” Nate Nunez, an Assistant Construction Engineer for PennDOT, said.
