NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Another heat wave is in sight in Middle Tennessee.
We recently closed out our second heat wave of the year and it was a major one, lasting a full week. A new record-high temperature was set on Friday, July 3, of 101 degrees Fahrenheit. Other temperature records were nearly tied.
This week is giving us a break of sorts. We’ll have more clouds than sunshine most days and high temperatures spanning the upper 80s and low- to mid-90s. Thursday and Friday will be the hottest with a high of 94 degrees.
Next week, though, the super high heat builds again. At least for a few days, the rain chance will drop to 20% or less. That’ll set the table for more sunshine and the return of blistering warmth…
