We’ll have a bit of cloud cover around during the morning hours especially today, as a large decaying complex of showers and thunderstorms tracks through around sunrise. Mid-level dry air has largely caused this complex to collapse locally, with breezy conditions giving way to calm winds behind what’s left of it.
Does this mean you’ll need the umbrella? Possibly this morning, but it certainly won’t rain all morning, and not everyone will see the rain, and most of it should be out of here by 7 AM or so.
Temperatures this morning are starting off in the mid-upper 60F’s, and will climb fairly quickly into the 70F’s later in the morning hours, topping out in the mid-80F’s for most locations later this afternoon. Those dew points are expected to remain quite soupy, so it won’t be the most comfortable of days, but at least winds will be light out of the southwest.
Clouds will stick around to some extent through this afternoon, though precipitation chances remain low. Later this evening, a larger complex of showers and thunderstorms is expected to develop along the I-94 corridor, though this round will likely be more of an issue closer to the Twin Cities than here locally.
Chances for precipitation will increase Wednesday, with showers and storms certainly possible across much of the viewing area, and we’ll be watching closely for any severe weather or flooding concerns…
