A Springfield nursing home has been fined over $23,000 following a state and federal investigation that determined proper life-saving measures were not performed on a 60-year-old resident before he died at the facility last January.
According to previous reporting from WSMV, Jay Kritsch was supposed to stay at The Waters of Springfield for a couple of weeks while working through complications from cirrhosis with medication. His daughter, Olivia Kritsch, said that she was in stable condition when he was first admitted to the facility in January 2026.
After just 17 days in their care on February 5, Olivia received several voicemails from The Waters asking her to call the facility. When she did, they informed her that her father had passed away…
