COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – More than eight years after 19-year-old LeShay Dungey vanished while walking to a friend’s home in Columbus, investigators are still searching for answers.
LeShay Dungey went missing on Jan. 24, 2018. At the time of her disappearance, she had recently graduated from the South-Western City School District and was working at a hotel in Dublin.
At a September 2019 news conference, Columbus police Detective Jason Brammer described LeShay Dungey as a “free spirit” who frequently moved between family members’ homes. Before LeShay Dungey vanished, she was living with her aunt, according to her father.
“She was laid back, to herself,” her father, Duane Dungey, told NBC4 in 2024. “Right after she graduated, she wanted to get a job and be independent and show me her independence.”…
