Driver pulled from Warren County crash, flown to hospital

(WJET/WFXP)– An Erie County man had to be flown to the hospital following a crash at the start of Independence Day weekend.

According to Pennsylvania State Police in Warren, the crash happened in the 3000 block of Buell’s Corner Road at the intersection with Oil Creek Road around 1:16 am on July 4.

Officials remind residents of firework cleanup safety

Police said the driver was heading east on Buell’s Corner Road and didn’t stop at the stop sign, then struck an embankment, stopping the car immediately and trapping the driver inside.

Firefighters and EMS were able to pull the driver out of the car and he was later flown to UPMC Hamot with suspected serious injuries. Police said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash…
