SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Happy Tuesday, Utah! Our Tuesday afternoon will feature a mix of clouds and sunshine across northern Utah.
Today’s weather: Gusty outflow winds
A pop-up high-based shower or storm will be possible across the higher terrain. The Storm Prediction Center has outlined a level 1 “Marginal” risk once again for northern Utah. A few of these storms could produce gusty outflow winds up to 60 mph and frequent lightning.

Southern Utah will enjoy lots of sunshine but gusty southerly winds. The gusty winds combined with the dry air in place will bring an elevated threat for wildfires to southwest portions of Utah. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for portions of central and southern Utah including the West Desert, Color Country Mountains, and the Grand Staircase area for Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon and evening.
High temperatures will warm into the mid to upper 90s across northern Utah. Highs climb above 105° for southwest Utah.
Tomorrow’s weather: Widespread sunshine
The energy causing the pop-up showers and storms over the next few days will shift to our north on Wednesday, bringing a return to widespread sunshine and a warming trend with our temperatures.
Daytime highs on Wednesday will warm into the mid 90s across northern Utah. We will continue to warm to 105° or higher across Lower Washington County.

A Heat Dome that has been situated to our south will begin to shift north over Utah Thursday through the weekend. This will bring in very dry conditions along with even hotter temperatures across all of Utah…
