COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Construction is underway on the redevelopment of the former Kroger bakery on Cleveland Avenue, six years after developers bought the vacant industrial site.
Real estate firm Casto broke ground July 1 on Assembly, an 11-acre, mixed-use project at 457 Cleveland Ave. that will turn the former bakery into apartments, retail and open space while preserving its two historic industrial buildings.
Casto is developing the site with Kelley Cos. and the Robert Weiler Co., which together bought the property in 2020. See the latest headlines from NBC4 in the video player above.
