BREVARD, N.C. (WLOS) — A local teacher has been honored as one of the top mathematics teacher in North Carolina.
According to a July 8 news release, Brevard Academy mathematics teacher Carly Hendrix was selected as one of the 2026-2027 Outstanding Elementary Mathematics Teachers by the North Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCCTM) and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI).
