Murfreesboro considers putting limits on new racquet sport facilities over noise concerns

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — Like millions of people during the pandemic, Micah Watson picked up pickleball in 2021. He’s now the general manager of Apex Pickleball in Murfreesboro, which used to be a tennis club, and sits just a stone’s throw away from residential homes.

“It’s exploded, and we’ve kind of spread out as a pickleball community as a result of that,” said Micah Watson, General Manager of Apex Pickleball. “We try to be the best neighbors we can be, but we do know that pickleball can be a louder sport.”
