JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The City of Jackson’s Bridges and Drainage Division will set up a temporary traffic detour on University Boulevard on July 9, 2026, to allow for tree removal.
According to city officials, traffic will be redirected through Porter and Rowan streets before returning to University Boulevard.
The tree removal is set to begin around 8:30 a.m. and is expected to be completed in three hours.
