SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Renovation work at Salt Lake City’s historic Tower Theatre has entered a new phase as construction fencing goes up and crews begin uncovering parts of the nearly century-old building.
The Salt Lake Film Society said fencing around the theater marked the start of a careful deconstruction of the front facade, allowing preservation experts to evaluate the condition of the 1950 exterior while searching for surviving elements of the original 1928 design.
