Tucson Cold Case From 2014 Is Closed After Police Identify Murder Suspect Who Died Before Charges Could Be Filed

TUCSON, AZ — Tucson police have closed a 2014 homicide investigation after new evidence led detectives to seek murder charges against a suspect who had already died. Officials said the case involved the death of 79-year-old Leroy Baillie.

The department said if the suspect had been alive, he would have been arrested for Baillie’s murder.
