WINDER, Ga. — The murder trial of accused Apalachee High School shooter Colt Gray will be moved from Barrow County to Columbia County, with jury selection scheduled to begin Oct. 13, according to a court order signed Wednesday.
Barrow County Superior Court Judge Nicholas Primm granted Gray’s previously approved request for a change of venue, concluding that Columbia County “will afford the parties a fair and impartial jury.” The order notes the state did not oppose the venue change.
The trial will be held at the Columbia County Justice Center in a courtroom assigned by Columbia Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Sheryl Jolly.
