Reno drug task force arrests man after multimonth narcotics investigation

A multi-month investigation into suspected drug sales near a Reno neighborhood ended with the arrest of a 36-year-old man and the seizure of crack cocaine, cash and firearms, including one gun that was reported stolen.

The Regional Narcotics Unit and the Northern Nevada Drug Task Force said James Ivery III was arrested after detectives observed him on multiple occasions selling crack cocaine to individuals in the vicinity of his residence near Stoker Avenue and Stardust Street.

Detectives moved to take Ivery III into custody on July 6. With assistance from Washoe County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit deputies, Ivery III was stopped in the area and arrested without incident, police said…
