The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania has reached a civil settlement with a roller skating center to ensure equal access under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Roll R Way, which has a location at 940 Vander Ave. in York City along with locations in Chambersburg in Franklin County and Donora in Washington County, reached the settlement after the U.S. Attorney’s Office received complaints from families with children who have Type 1 diabetes.
According to a U.S. Attorney’s Office statement, on separate occasions the families were refused entry into the skating facility because they wanted to enter with their child’s diabetes treatment supplies that included a small amount of food and drink to help regulate low blood sugar levels…
