ANDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents to be on the lookout for scammers posing as law enforcement officers in an attempt to steal money and personal information.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, scammers are calling individuals and falsely claiming they are from the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. The callers tell victims they must immediately pay money, purchase gift cards, send cryptocurrency, or provide personal information to avoid being arrested.
