RUTHERFORD COUNTY – (WSMV) As animal shelters across the country report reaching capacity, one mobile pet groomer is offering free services to rescue dogs find homes.
Melissa Nash, who operates A Royal Touch Mobile Pet Spa, said she has seen an increase in rescue dogs coming in for grooming. The shelter does not have a dedicated groomer on staff, so Nash approached them about a partnership.
“I’m used to the grooming and, you know, the time and the money that it takes to do it,” Nash said. “So I went up to PAWS, and I said ‘I want to partner with you, and I want to help you guys take care of these dogs in order to try to help find them new homes.’”…
