At 11:52 a.m. on Friday July 10th the Joliet Fire Department responded to 1217 Roosevelt Avenue, for a report of a structure fire in a single-story residence. Company 5 arrived within three minutes of the call and were met with heavy smoke coming from the structure.
Crews performed an interior attack and extinguished the fire within 10 minutes of arrival. The structure suffered heavy fire, smoke and water damage. Two occupants were inside of the structure at the time of the fire. They were able to exit without injury…
