Data centers could be more difficult to build in this Middle Tennessee city if new zoning rules go through

LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WSMV) – New data center rules could be on the way to La Vergne.

City commissioners are holding a meeting Tuesday, during which they will discuss a zoning ordinance amendment that would tighten where data centers are located.

Data centers are currently allowed in four zoning districts, but under a proposed amendment, three of those permitted districts would be removed from the list. The only areas where data centers would be allowed, pending amendment approval, would be La Vergne’s designated Interchange Districts…
