(KRON) — A man wanted in connection to a fatal shooting in Bay Point earlier this month has been arrested in Las Vegas. Avery Alexander Gibbs, 35, was allegedly involved in a shooting on Friday, Jul3 on Olivia Lane in Bay Point.
Multiple people were injured in the shooting. Two were transported to the hospital where one later died. Police did not identify the victims, but they said Gibbs was identified as the suspect and described as on the run by the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office.

On Monday, the Contra Costa County Sheriff said detectives determined Gibbs was in Las Vegas. Contra Costa County detectives notified their counterparts in Las Vegas who arrested Gibbs after searching for him.
