STOREY COUNTY, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — The Storey County Sheriff’s Office released more information about a deadly crash involving a motorcycle that occurred on Sunday night.
A Storey County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted a traffic stop on a black motorcycle around 8:50 p.m. on July 12 after the motorcycle nearly went head-on with the deputy on C Street in the area of Taylor Street in Virginia City.
Authorities say the solo rider of the motorcycle slowed down, looked over his shoulder, then rapidly accelerated on north C Street. The deputy was unable to keep up with the motorcycle as it was traveling at a high rate of speed north on C Street in the southbound lanes near Sutton Street…
