Fewer Tennesseans are buying electric vehicles, new report shows

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Electric vehicle sales are slipping in Tennessee, even as more public charging stations continue to come online.

A new report from the Alliance for Automotive Innovation shows electric vehicles accounted for 3.86% of all new light-duty vehicle sales in Tennessee during the first three months of 2026.
