University of Rochester lands $15M for laser research expansion

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The University of Rochester will receive a $15 million federal award to expand laser technology research, workforce training and manufacturing efforts across the Rochester-Finger Lakes region.

The funding will support STELLAR, a University of Rochester-led coalition focused on developing new laser technologies and helping regional companies bring those advances into production.
