MOUNT VERNON, Mo. – A Marionville man originally charged with second-degree murder in the death of a woman who died at his home in 2025 has been sentenced to seven years in prison.
Under a plea agreement, prosecutors dismissed the murder charge against William Standifer and amended a charge of delivering a controlled substance to a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Standifer, 43, pleaded guilty to the possession charge and was sentenced on Monday, July 13, in Lawrence County Circuit Court.
