It’s a done deal – well, tentatively. Contract talks between Woodburn School District and the teacher’s union, which began in the early afternoon of Monday, July 13, ended in the early morning hours of July 14 with a tentative agreement.
It was, to coin a phrase, a marathon session. But worth the time and effort as a new school year begins peeking over the horizon and the potential for a labor stoppage became very real.
“We are pleased to share that after our fourth mediation session, the Woodburn School District and Woodburn Education Association successfully reached tentative agreements on all remaining contract articles,” noted Woodburn School District Superintendent Juan Larios in a message to the community after the session ended…
