BURGAW, N.C. (WECT) – Heavy rain caused water damage Monday night to a Pender County government building, forcing two county offices to close and relocate.
The Register of Deeds and Tax Office, both housed in the Howard Holly Building, have temporarily moved to the former Health Department building at 803 S. Walker Street in Burgaw.
E-recording, tax bill payments and appeals services remain available at the new location. Staff are working to bring the site to full capacity, officials said. Residents needing in-person assistance are encouraged to call ahead before visiting…
