BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Southern University is hosting its first summer camp focused on construction management, giving nearly 20 middle school students a week-long, hands-on introduction to the field.
The camp is tied to Southern’s construction management degree program, which the university has offered for just over a year.
Building skills in and out of the classroom
Christopher Larkin, program coordinator for the construction management department at Southern, said the camp is designed to develop more than technical knowledge.
